The department of statistics, being territorial body of Agency RK on statistics, realizes the major problem in maintenance of the state bodies, business circles and the public of region and republic the objective statistical information on social and economic development of the Western - Kazakhstan area, and also carries out other functions under the control and supervision of realization of a state policy over sphere of statistical activity in territory of area.

In the structure the Department of statistics also has branches -12 regional and 1 city management of statistics.

In Departament of statistics of the Western-Kazakhstan as of  01.04.2012 144 are administrative state employees, among which 76,4% make women.

All workers of state serviсe 87,5% have the maximum (including 76,4% - the maximum economic) and 12,5% - average professional formations.

12,5% have the experience of work on civil service from 1 tile 5 years, 23,6% - from 5 till 10 years, 19,4% - from 10 till 15 years and 44,5% - over 15 years; Kazakhs among working 83,3%, Russian – 14,6%, representatives of other nationalities - 2,1%.

The share of workers in the age of till 30 years is equal an aggregate number of state employees of 8,3%, from 31 years till 40 years -20,2%, from 41 years till 50 years – 21,5%; over 50 years – 50,0%, their average age is equal 46 years.

Gathering and processing of the statistical data of the state statistics in areas, the organization and carrying out of statistical supervision and other special inspections, and also the publication and distribution of the statistical information in region, in constant interaction with Department of statistics of area, are carried out by Computer center according to the Western-Kazakhstan area which the Computer centre of Agency RK on statistics " is affiliated state enterprise of the Republican state enterprise".
