The Department of Statistics is the territorial body of the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which implements the task of provision of the objective statistical information about the socioeconomic development of the North-Kazakhstan region to the state structures, business groups and public of the region and republic. It implements also other functions of control and supervision for realization of the state politics in the sphere of statistical activity in the region’s territory. 

The department is headed by Perepechina O.V., her Deputy is Izbassova G.Z., Moldagulov A.K. The structure of the Department consists of 13 administrative departments, which are headed by Abdulkhaimova S.Sh., Basova E.A., Vyushkova N.I., Zhetpisova L.H., Kozhakhmetova K.N., Koren L.N., Nurzhaupova M.R., Platonova O.V., Reitarova L.A, Rodionova N.V., Sultanova S.A., Yurkova N.P.

In its structure the Department of Statistics has also 13 district divisions, among their heads are Kopeev Z.E., Kutuscheva A.M., Miloradova T.O., Peregorodieva I.G., Scharipova G.U., Ginayatova R.A., Pazylova K.U., Omarova B.H., Kakibaeva G.N., Omarova R.Zh. who have been working in the statistical bodies for more than 10 years (some of them 30 years). 

In close interaction with the Department of Statistics the statistical data computing, organization and implementation of the statistical observations and other special investigations, publication and distribution of the statistical information in the region is conducted by the Department of Statistics of the North-Kazakhstan region, which is the state affiliate of the state-owned enterprise “Data-processing center of the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. The Computation Center (CC) is headed by the Director – Mussin F.A.The leading divisions of the CC are headed by the veterans and highly qualified specialists of regional statistical bodies – Golivets G.P., Astapov I.S., Boroday A.A., Mukatova T.M.

211 persons are now working in the bodies of state statistics of the North-Kazakhstan region, 170 of them are administrative government employees and 41 are engaged in the CC. 93% of the total number of the government employees are women; over 37 persons have been working in the statistical bodies for 15 years and more, 10 of them are statistics high achievers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1 is awarded by the breastplate “Statistics High Achiever”, 2 – by the anniversary medals of the Republic,  1 – by the medal “For Labor Honors” by the decree of the President of the USSR. 86% of the government employees in the statistical bodies have higher education (75% have higher economical education), 14% - have secondary professional education, 42.2% have continuity of employment in the government service from 5 to 10 years, 17.1% - from 10 to 15 years and 27.1% - over 15 years; Kazakhs among them are 51%, Russian – 37%, and 12% are the representatives of other nationalities. The share of staff till 30 years old is 17%, from 31 to 40 years old – 34%, from 41 to 50 – 26%; average age is 40 years old.
